Business Cards and Participation in MeconoMorph

This page describes how businesses and other organizations have contributed material to MeconoMorph. Participation is treated as part of the project’s material and documentary history, not as an advertising placement.

Business cards enter MeconoMorph as physical material associated with professional identity and exchange. Once incorporated, they may be cut, folded, joined, obscured, or placed among cards from many other sources.

Forms of participation

  • Contributing surplus, obsolete, or otherwise discarded business cards.
  • Providing a temporary collection point in connection with an installation.
  • Hosting a presentation or educational discussion about the project.
  • Supplying historical information relevant to contributed material.

Documentation and attribution

Inclusion does not guarantee that a name, logo, or individual card will remain visible, nor does it imply endorsement by the project or its host venue. The cards function collectively as construction material and as evidence of a changing communication system.

Contributing material

Physical and digital contributions have been handled in different ways at different stages of the project. Current arrangements, collection points, and practical requirements should be confirmed before material is sent.
